On Mr. E's birthday this past week, I promised him a cake. The good news is: I'll be baking that cake within the month! As you might know, for the past few months he has been in Paris while I have been in Seattle. Soon he'll be making the 5000-mile journey across the Atlantic. All I have to do is cross my fingers and hope that my cake will be as pretty as this one from a local French bakery. I. am. so. excited.
Oh and yes, I realize all this talk about cake kind of contradicts my last post on eating healthfully. I'm being healthy now (my instagram @ellalogy is proof!), but I'm pretty sure that our reunion will be just cause for indulgence :)
so sweet
ReplyDeleteaw :) Josh & I did most of our relationship long distance as I lived in the UK for a year, so I totally understand your excitement at being reunited. It makes the times together so much more precious :)

Yay, enjoy near future cake with Mr. E!
ReplyDeleteAh, so exciting that he's making the trip home! If your version of the cake even slightly resembles the one in the picture, I'm sure it will be wonderful. Looks delicious! :)
