If one product in my collection deserves the name "one-product wonder," this is it. Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream is an oil-infused cream/balm and multi-tasker extraordinaire. As the packaging suggests, this product can be used in a variety of ways to add moisture and luminosity to your complexion. It's a deep moisturizer, lip conditioner, eyebrow-groomer, sunburn-reliever, lipstick or eyeshadow base, highlighter, cuticle-softener... the list goes on. It's also a makeup-transformer of sorts, as you can mix it into a powder product such as eyeshadow, blush or luminizer to turn it into a cream.
Since purchasing this product, I've found myself reaching for it to give my skincare and makeup that extra somethin'-somethin'. I haven't used it in all the suggested ways, but there's one particular problem that Infinity Cream fixes like nothing else. During the wintertime, or when I've gone a little overboard with spot treatment, I tend to get patches of dryness that foundation only exaggerates. I hate the look of dry skin + foundation so much that I have on occasion wiped off all the foundation just to exfoliate, re-moisturize and reapply. Infinity Cream provides a much easier solution to cakey foundation woes: simply dab onto the dry patch and voila, dryness is soothed and camouflaged. This one use alone is enough to make this product a staple in my routine. I also know this will be a skin savior for long-haul flights and times when I need to condense my beauty routine for traveling.
This product is what I wished Elizabeth Arden's 8-Hour Cream would be. I've mentioned before that I never liked the stuff, and when I found out it contained mineral oil, petrolatum, artificial fragrance and parabens, I ditched my mini sample tube. Infinity Cream is about as pure as skincare gets. It's 99% natural and contains a cocktail of hydrators such as safflower seed oil, argan oil, shea butter, beeswax, avocado oil, coconut oil and macadamia seed oil. It's also paraben and cruelty-free. Really, what more could I ask for?
Have you tried this product? What is your favorite beauty multi-tasker?

this sounds amazing! i was trying out a josie maran cream at sephora the other day but i think it was their regular one with spf... i can't wait to check this out when i'm in the US! i agree this is what i hoped the elizabeth arden 8 hour cream had been too. i swatched the 8 hour cream in london for the first time and was massively let down... to me it was more of a sticky gel that i knew i wouldn't use much. now that you mention it has all those thumbs down ingredients, i'm even more glad i didn't buy it!

This products sounds amazing! I can get dry skin where I have been treating spots and I do the same as you, wipe of make up only to reapply make up! I hate doing that! So I agree I would love it for that reason alone. I have wanted to try 8 hour cream for such a long time now and I was so happy when I got a mini one in my Glossy box yesterday but I was very disappointed by it, I would have been so annoyed if I had actually spent money on it. It is more like a gel and is sticky and unpleasant on the skin.
ReplyDeleteGreat review :)

Thanks for the review! I've tested this out at Sephora a few times, and I love the texture! Basic, but in a good way! I have oily skin but I definitely think I'd be able to make good use of this :)
